My Apologies...
For those who check this site from time to time and noticed that it's
been trippin' lately, it's because I switched servers a while back and
doing so created a few navigational bugs in the site. Some things work
fine, while others don't. My main concern on the site honestly is that
folks can access the journal, which I'm sure folks can do now. I plan
on completely revamping the site by February, just have to figure what
goes and what stays when I do. I wan the site to be lighter, but still
worth checking out from time to time outside of the journal.
Aside fromt hat, I saw Man on Fire, Harry Potter and the Prisoner of
Azkaban, The Incredibles and the Terminal this weekend. Rebecca, you
were right, I really dug The Incredibles. I think it might have beaten
out my all-time favorite Pixar movie, Toy Story. Strong words I know,
but that joint was pretty dope. Cats were losing their lives all
throughout that joint, man. One of the reasons I couldn't get into G.
I. joe full on is because cats would always manage to parachute out of
disastorous aerial explosions somehow. The only ones that would catch
it were the B.A.T.s in the show. Not so in this joint. The bad guys
were catching it, as they should have. What sold me though was how
human they were, and how funny they were. Dope joint. WIll be copped
on DVD promptly upon release.
What else? Oh, the All Seasons LP release party/ Open mic is set for
next Tuesday @ Howard University. Joint will be free, so come out and
support if you can. LP's will be for sale @ this event ($12).
Trying to not get a cold, although my body seems to really want to get
sick...I won't let it. Didn't schedule it this month, seeing as though
I got some vacation time coming up, my body will have to wait until
then, or get sick during the weekend.
Got some reviews on the radar for the illpoets.com reveiws section-
GTA: San Andreas for games, Afeni Shakur for books, and Talib and the
Roots for mucic. It's rough doing the reviews by myself, but, they're
worth it.
I might be on Joe Gorhams poetry hour this Wednesday night @ 12am (96.3
FM), which technically, is really Thursday morning, but whatever. If
so, I'll try to give a heads up. Main things is to pump the CD.
Haven't been on in a couple of years, so it'd be nice to go back with
something to play for listeners. We'll see...
Things are really looking up for this joint right now. More l8er.
Eye Will Holla,
LtP
